Spatial Global wins English china designer’s e-commerce fulfilment and global logistics business

CASTLE DONINGTON, U.K. - Nov. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Spatial Global Limited, the Castle Donington, Derbyshire, UK based international freight forwarding, mail, logistics and courier specialist, has been appointed by fine bone china designer Lou Rota London to handle all its UK and international e-commerce fulfilment and freight forwarding.  Spatial Global is a member of The Keswick Enterprises Group.

Formed by Lou Rota, the eponymous business began by designing and selling customised vintage furniture and ceramics for individuals and retailers.  Earlier this summer, however, it launched its first off-the-shelf collection of quintessentially English high quality fine bone china tableware under the name ‘Everyday’.  All products feature the company’s trademark bird, bug or floral motifs – designed by Lou Rota herself.  Stockists of Lou Rota London tableware include Selfridges, Anthropologie and Caravan – along with leading online retailers such as etsy.com.  Products are also sold through the company’s own website at www.lourota.com.

Every piece of Lou Rota London china is handmade in Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, in the heart of The Potteries.  From there they are collected in returnable tote boxes by Spatial, using its own commercial vehicles, and transported to the company’s distribution hub in Castle Donington, adjacent to East Midlands Airport.

Spatial then enters the items into its warehouse, where they are later picked and packed according to customer requirements.  The delivery company works to a very detailed packing standard specially prepared by Lou Rota London to protect the fragile fine bone china during transport around the world.

Spatial has already completed the despatch of bulk consignments via airfreight to Guangzhou in China, as well as by road freight to Germany and by courier to the UK and other parts of Europe.  The company is also consolidating SKUs to form kits in advance of order – for example, by combining a cup, saucer and plate into a single box.

Orders placed on Lou Rota London’s own website, which uses the Shopify online store system, are transferred automatically to Spatial, where they are individually picked and packed, before worldwide despatch.
