BURNS HARBOR, Ind. - Nov. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Lake Shore Toyota in Burns Harbor is proud to announce that they are home to one of the top brands when it comes to reliability. Although drivers have known for some time that Toyota makes some of the most dependable vehicles in the auto world, there is another Consumer Reports quality survey that places Lexus—Toyota's luxury brand—at the top in reliability with Toyota right behind in second.

While Consumer Reports does test other aspects of a vehicle themselves, the reliability surveys are completed by average drivers, with information being extrapolated to the current year by the stats experts at the magazine. They are one of the leading names in auto reliability and for good reason; no other survey encompasses so many drivers and so many vehicle. The 2014 survey included over 1 million drivers spanning nearly 250 different vehicles.

Analyzing all of the data gave Consumer Reports their rankings. Not only did Lexus and Toyota take the top two spots, but many competing automakers fell quite a bit from previous showings, with Fiat and Chrysler at the bottom. The magazine explained at least part of Toyota's success, saying, “Toyota brands perform well because the automaker takes a deliberate approach to introducing new features.

Lake Shore Toyota was quick to point out that the incredible variety of models available in their lineup certainly doesn't hurt their placement in the rankings either; when more drivers are able to see what a Toyota has to offer, the automaker's excellence gets amplified in such surveys.

Whether it's the Camry and Corolla, the Highlander and 4Runner, or the Sienna minivan, it's tough to find a driver who wouldn't enjoy a Toyota. Readers curious about a current model or wanting to learn more about the Consumer Reports recognition have been asked to contact Lake Shore Toyota for more information. They have both new and used Toyota models, on-site financing, and a state-of-the-art service center in Burns Harbor and are open six days a week.
