Radio Toxic Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Radio Toxic has taken to crowdfunding via Kickstarter to upgrade their servers and make improvements to their station.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Nov. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Canada's #1 Bass Music Web Radio Station, Radio Toxic, has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to take their station to the next level. This isn't your typical web radio station, Radio Toxic boasts top 10 listenership worldwide for Dubstep and has streamed for 3 years without any ads. An impressive feat considering they don't have a working mobile app and are plagued with reliability issues due to insufficient servers. Rather than seeking traditional investment, Radio Toxic decided to involve their audience in the update process through crowd-funding with Kickstarter.

Radio Toxic, is a web radio station based in Vancouver, Canada, that is dedicated to bass music and it's culture. "Our mission is to bridge the gap between the mainstream and the underground. We represent the artist's we love, not by the merit of their commercial success or marketability, but by the product of their art: their music." Team Toxic is relatively small and independent and their programming is the same way. It isn’t just a playlist of top 100 tracks, all the general programming and scheduled shows on Radio Toxic are composed of the team's hand-selected tracks.

Being one of the few stations that play user submitted content regularly, Radio Toxic has an open collaboration policy. Anyone with a mic and good music sense can apply to be one of their weekly podcasters and the Toxic roster is chock full of people from all over the world. They also feature a blog that covers a variety of topics including; music festivals, post show reviews, artist spotlights, music releases, and interviews. The blog is designed to give support to the many local artists, performers, and promotions within their home turf. Quite the forward thinking bunch...

"A couple of the things we want to achieve with your support is to include an automated request feature through our web player and twitter, repair our album art bugs, and build a mobile app. We basically want to fix all the broken links and bugs on our homepage.  Lastly, we want to take our programming to the next level. With your support we'd add new shows, new podcasts, new music, and new streaming technology."

So make sure to check us out on Kickstarter and at!
