In addition, everyone will have a chance to meet Corporal Gunnar, a Siberian husky guide dog, and Scout, a service dog-in-training. All proceeds will go to the Valiant Veterans of Massachusetts Live Life Center, an organization dedicated to bringing education, resources and awareness to those returning home from war. The organization provides work force training, art and recovery program, and provides assistance with things like PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and MST (Military Sexual Trauma). Hebert Candies is almost a century old, but is still known for its high-quality, handcrafted products. The Tudor-Style, Shrewsbury, MA Hebert Mansion opened in 1946, and became the first roadside retail confectionary operation in the United States. Today, it is still home to all Hebert operations, and is also the location of special events for holidays, fundraisers and birthday parties. “We’re especially honored to be part of an event for such a wonderful organization as the Valiant Veterans of Massachusetts,” It was Frederick Hebert, who founded the company, who officially brought white chocolate to the United States in 1956 after tasting "white coat" candies while in Europe.
