MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - Nov. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Bosak Motor Sales recently announced that the brand new 2015 Chrysler 200 has earned the Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and hot on its heels is the Five-Star Overall Safety Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Those are the two highest awards from the two most respected names in auto safety, likely eliminating any doubt in the minds of drivers that the new Chrysler 200 is one of the safest cars on the road. A significant portion of the safety rating is credited to the high-strength boron steel that makes up 65% of the vehicle's body as well as the new active safety features, like a blind spot monitoring system, electronic roll mitigation, electronic stability control, rear backup sensors, a rearview camera, and more.

Head of Vehicle Safety and Regulatory Compliance and Senior Vice President of Chrysler Group, Scott Kunselman responded to the news, saying, “The Chrysler 200’s superior performance in such safety tests validates our continuing efforts to deliver the latest advancements in both passive and active safety technologies.”

Considering that the vehicle was newly redesigned for the 2015 model year, the fact that it's topping the charts on safety isn't much of a surprise. After all, it seems to be leading its class in pretty much every other respect as well.

The new Chrysler 200 includes some of the best available features in its class, with amenities like these:

Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity
Chrysler's Uconnect system with touchscreen interface
Navigation system with smartphone app integration
Power-adjustable driver's seat
Leather upholstery
Automated parking system

Combine all of that with the Chrysler 200's 184-hp 2.4L four-cylinder engine with 173 lb-ft of torque (or the optional 295-hp 3.5L V6), and it's clear that this is one of the most versatile and well-rounded sedans on the market.

Starting at only $21,700, the Chrysler 200 has become one of the most competitive vehicles in its class, finding a home in many local garages. Drivers interested in learning more about the 2015 Chrysler 200 have been asked to contact Bosak Motor Sales in Merrillville.
