"There is so much we don’t know about lung cancer, but one thing I did learn is that it’s the most fatal of all cancers, because it is not usually discovered until the last stage, Stage IV,” says Cameron. “The foundation is here to make sure that anyone dealing with this challenge will have the support, information and access to integrative treatment options available to ensure the best possible outcome,” she added.

Cameron started the AJCF after her mother, Alma J. Cameron, struggled with lung cancer, which eventually claimed her life.  Baffled by the initial diagnosis - her mother was not a smoker nor did she indulge in any of the activities typically associated with the disease - Cameron's life was changed forever. Channeling her personal pain into determination to spread the word about this disease, Cameron created the Alma J. Cameron Foundation for Cancer Awareness, an organization that will empower other families living with and caring for loved ones with lung cancer.

There is a new ray of hope for the scores of Americans who are stricken with Lung Cancer each year.  The Alma J. Cameron Foundation for Cancer Awareness (AJCF), a Los Angeles based organization, will bolster the waging war on the disease through public education and providing financial support for patients seeking integrative treatment options.

The  AJCF is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, outreach organization devoted to bringing awareness of the  warning signs of lung cancer, as well as, providing monetary support to cancer patients seeking integrative medical treatments.
