Ed Escobedo and H Walker to be Recognized with Diversity Spirit Achievement Award™

CHICAGO - Nov. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- The Diversity Recruiter’s Network (http://diversityrecruitersnetwork.org/) announced today Ed Escobedo, Vice President Diversity and Strategic Initiatives of Apollo Education Group and H Walker, Director of Education for McDonald’s Global Inclusion and Community Engagement Department  will receive the Diversity Spirit Achievement Award™. They will be commended on Diversity Employment Day, Tuesday, November 4 during The Diversity Practioners Roundtable to be held from 9 am – 10:45 am at Embassy Suites Chicago – Downtown/Lakefront (511 N. Columbus Drive, Chicago IL 60611).

The Diversity Recruiters Network’s Diversity Spirit Achievement Award™ is a national award program recognizing corporations, individuals, community organizations and media for actively supporting diversity in the community and workplace. The nomination criteria include having vision, creativity and active promotion of diversity and inclusion on a local and national level.

This invitation-only event is for employers, professional and community-based organizations and the media, held prior to the opening of the 14^th Annual Diversity Employment Day Career Fair.  Best practices for recruiting, promoting and retaining qualified employees from the Multicultural and Diverse communities will be explored.
