Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Noon Presents The 21st Annual Taste of Bonita

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Nov. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Noon and Physicians Regional Health Care will host the 21st annual Taste of Bonita on Saturday and Sunday, November 22 and 23 at Riverside Park on Old US 41 in historic Bonita Springs.

         Held every year in November, the Taste of Bonita now attracts over 16,000 attendees and is an opportunity for restaurants to showcase their cuisine and support the community.  Patrons will have the opportunity to eat and enjoy food from over 20 of the area’s finest restaurants, including Big Hickory, Buffalo Chips, Capriotti’s, Farmer Mikes, Fitzgerald’s, For Heaven’s Shakes Ice Cream, Gatsby’s, Handles Ice Cream, Iguana Mia, Johnny Malloy’s, Rodes Fishmarket, Royal Scoop, Randy’s Fish Market, Stevie Tomato’s, Sweet Odin’s Danish Bakery, The Stage and Zorba’s.  Sunday’s festivities also include live entertainment by four different tribute bands, including Night Moves (Bob Seger), Piano Man (Bill Joel), Dark Lady (Cher) and Edge of Gaga (Lady Gaga). There is also a children’s play area with games and rides for the kids. Attendees also have the chance to win a one year boat club membership to Baywater Boat Club & Rentals. Tickets for a chance to win are $20.00 each and will be available for purchase on Saturday and Sunday.

         In addition to the Taste of Bonita on Sunday: the weekend event includes an amateur Chili and BBQ Cook-off & Craft Fair on Saturday from 11 am to 3pm, followed by a free concert from 5:00 – 9:00 pm featuring the Jimmy Buffet tribute band, The Caribbean Chillers. Also from 6:00 – 9:00 is a Wine Fest featuring 50+ boutique and specialty wines from around the world.  Tasting tickets are $1.00 each with most tastes requiring 2-3 tickets.  Attendees can meet and mingle with wine experts while enjoying a variety of fine wines and listening to the free concert. VIP wine tickets are $40 for one or $75 for two and include two- $5 raffle tickets, a wine glass and early Wine Fest entry at 5:00 for a private VIP Champagne/Sparkling wine tasting. Proceeds from The Taste of Bonita go to support various charitable endeavors The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Noon takes on throughout the year including high school Scholarships, Bonita Springs Assistance Office, Gift of Life, The Wheelchair Foundation and many others.  The club was chartered in 1992 and is made up of business professionals who come together to serve the community and promote their vocations.  Over 34,000 Rotary Clubs can be found in over 200 countries and geographical areas worldwide. To date the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Noon has donated over $750,000 to charities in large part through funds raised at the annual Taste of Bonita.
