SCS Engineers Promotes Nathan Eady to Vice President

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Nov. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- SCS Engineers recently promoted Nathan Eady, AICP, CEPE, to Vice President. In his new role, Eady will serve as a regulatory compliance and land use manager focused in the oil and gas industry. He will continue to work out of the Santa Maria, California office.

Eady and his staff of scientists, engineers, and geologists are responsible for exacting environmental site assessments, land use planning strategies, and risk management for oil extraction activities, including enhanced oil recovery techniques such as cyclic steam injection. SCS Engineers’ work in oil and gas exploration and production includes a focus on industrial regulatory compliance and public safety issues.

As an environmental consultant, Eady resolves complex environmental impact issues and helps clients safely plan for land uses that comply with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. Under his guidance over 30,000 acres of California’s most productive oilfields have been returned to production and hundreds of new wells and facilities have been developed.

“Nathan’s experiences in the public and private sector give him the ability to communicate with the public and with regulatory agencies in a timely and efficient manner supported by science and facts,” said Thomas Rappolt, Vice President and Office Director of SCS Tracer Environmental.

Eady has more than 13 years of experience in the environmental consulting services industry.  His experience includes working for the County of Santa Barbara as a Senior Land Use Planner, and as an Associate Urban Planner for the City of San Diego. His background in development review, public policy, and architecture provides Nathan with a variety of skills to assist property owners and industrial clients with the complex land use permitting process. Nathan’s dedication to the environment, above and beyond his work, includes volunteering for the U.S. Forest Service.

He is a graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. Nathan is also an accredited member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is a Certified Energy Plans Examiner (CEPE).
