Chicago Author Launches Debut Novel--Monsters

Explore the dark fray of human nature and the unlucky side of circumstance.

CHICAGO - Nov. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Chicago, Illinois – Local screen writer and film director Chris Nichols debuts his introductory novel, “Monsters,” now available in paperback and as an exclusive Kindle download. Like his previous work, modern day Chicago serves as the primary setting for this tragic story of two weary travelers struggling to escape evil and make their way in America.

“With elements of crime, romance, travel, metamorphosis, and struggle, Monsters is a plot-driven narrative that challenges our ideas of right and wrong and takes us to the very bottom,” Nichols writes on the book cover. “Excellent read, but this book is not for the faint of heart,” another reviewer noted.

Monsters is the story of a tragic journey through physical and emotion space, with seedy characters and rotten circumstances all along the way. It encourages readers to wonder what they’d do when fate delivers a cruel hand. From West Africa to Middle America, it connects us as people not only through joy and play and good deeds, but through extreme misfortune and grave misdeeds as well.

Chris Nichols was screen writer and director for the indie feature “Diacritical” and the documentary “Who’s We, Paleface?” He is currently working on a film adaptation of this work.

Chris is available for interviews and appearances. For booking presentations, media appearances, interviews, and/or book-signings contact wishboxmedia@gmail.com.
