AIS Provides Access to Eagle Fat Analysis Technology to Meat Manufacturers in the UK

WELLINGBOROUGH, U.K. - Nov. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- AIS have added the Eagle™ FA720 PACK system to their customisable range of x-ray inspection systems, meaning small to large meat producers in the UK are now able to outsource their Fat Analysis and Chemical Lean (CL) Measurement requirements alongside the reliable detection of physical contaminants.

This Fat Analysis system, coupled with the knowledge and experience of AIS' technicians, will provide meat producers and processors with a confidential and cost-effective solution to maximise food safety and quality.

The fat content can be accurately determined in packaged beef, lamb and pork products to within just +/- one CL in real-time, assuring meat suppliers that the meat they sell is of the correct fat to lean ratio and avoiding fat claims. Simultaneously, AIS can provide x-ray inspection services for a wide range of physical contaminants including metal, glass, stone and calcified bone.

AIS' new fat analysis and inspection service will not only improve profit, but potentially help to win more business for UK meat producers - who are unable to integrate fat analysis and inspection systems on their own production lines - through compliance with retailer guidelines.

The Eagle™ FA720 PACK system will also boost productivity at AIS, allowing a higher number of cartons or frozen blocks to be inspected without compromising on detection sensitivity.
