American Paper & Twine Co. Announcing The Teacher of the Week - Week Ten

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nov. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- American Paper & Twine Co., Titans Radio and Georgia-Pacific Communication Papers announced Kristin Ball, a Behavior Specialist (BSP) teacher from Richland Middle School in Clarksville, Tennessee, was selected as Teacher of the Week, for week ten of the Tennessee Titans 2014 football season.

“We sometimes forget the impact that teachers have on the students and families they come in contact with year after year,” said Lonnie Spivak, eCommerce and Marketing Manager for American Paper & Twine Co. “It is certainly very special when teachers like Mrs. Ball make a lasting impression on parents and students.” Mr. Spivak continued, “We are happy that our partnership with Titans Radio and Georgia-Pacific enables us to honor teachers who make an impact in the classroom and beyond.”

“Mrs. Ball is a BSP teacher, which means she has a degree as a Behavior Specialist, and our son Brady has a form of Autism called Asperger's. School for him has been a constant struggle since he began Kindergarten,” said Leigh Hagewood, a Richland Middle School parent. “She has been a blessing of epic proportions to him, and to our whole family, changing our lives as she does many others.”  Mrs. Hagewood continued, “Mrs. Ball will never understand what she means to our family as she shared her unconditional love for our son when nobody else has even put forth the effort. This would be an awesome gift for her to win!”

Each week during the Titans’ season, submissions are reviewed to find exceptional teachers. The winning teachers receive a $400 gift basket full of supplies for their classroom and two tickets to see a Tennessee Titans home game. A new winner is announced every Tennessee Titans game and at the end of the season a ‘Teacher of the Year’ is selected from the Teacher of the Week winners. This deserving teacher will receive an award, a gift basket of school supplies (worth approx. $800) and tickets to the December 28th game vs. the Indianapolis Colts.
