Uptown Consulting’s Top Performers: Southern Ground Music & Food Festival; Charleston, SC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Oct. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- This past weekend AT&T rewarded Uptown Consulting’s top performers with a trip to sunny Charleston, SC for the 4^th Annual Southern Ground Music & Food Festival. The Zac Brown band hosts this festival every year to raise awareness and money for Camp Southern Ground, a camp he’s helped build for children of all ages and ability levels. The camp’s mission is to “operate a camp to allow children to overcome academic, social and emotional difficulties so they may reach their full potential and provide the tools necessary to achieve excellence in all facets of their lives.”

Uptown Consulting’s team took full advantage of the visit to sunny Charleston. Visiting the Isle of Palms and Charleston’s sunny beaches before the festival began this Saturday. The event was sponsored, in part by our largest client, AT&T not only to help in the fundraising efforts of the band, but to help launch their newest interactive application. The “AT&T U-Verse Country Deep” application is an interactive app that allows customers, using any old television to bring an interactive country music experience into their living room.

After enjoying the beaches, volleyball and crab legs the Isle of Palms had to offer and cleaning up the AT&T swag, it was off to the music & food festival. The food was a mix of Zac Brown’s finest from his family restaurant and some of the best restaurants in Charleston. The Uptown Consulting team decided to do a taste tour getting a little of each of their specialties. Finally it was music time! Within a few rows of the stage the team was able to enjoy Zac Brown welcome Blues Traveler, The Wailers, Warren Haynes and Gov’t Mule at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, SC.
