Reaching New Heights at the Newport-Mesa YMCA

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Oct. 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Newport Beach, CA--On Saturday, November 15^th, 2014, members and the community will be celebrating the grand opening of a new military-style obstacle course at the Newport-Mesa YMCA. This obstacle course is called the “Playpen”.

The Playpen at the YMCA faces the scenic Newport Back Bay and consists of a series of obstacles to challenge strength, endurance and balance of even the most seasoned athletes. The course will be open for use by both YMCA and community members and options to use include monthly memberships, open classes, and fitness programs.

The Grand Opening of the Playpen is on Saturday, November 15^th from 9am-1pm.

Grand Opening schedule:

9-9:30am- Welcome and Tour/Cours Ddemonstration
9:30-10:30am-Firefighters' Challenge
10:30-11am- Push Up and Pull Up Competition
11-12pm-Police Officers' Challenge
12:30-1pm- Awards and Wrap Up
