Kissimmee, FL. Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 3-6pm. Ribbon Cutting at 3:30pm. (AcuMedGroup) said today it will open an acupuncture clinic to treat patients suffering from chronic pain, arthritis, muscle strain and other conditions such as Oncology. Medical Aesthetics will be offered which include chemical peels, microdermabrasions as well as Oncology Facials for patients undergoing Chemotherapy or Radiation. Dr. Rusnak is a Certified trainer for the American Cancer Society “Look Good Feel Better”program which is a non-medical, brand-neutral public service program that teaches beauty techniques to cancer patients to help them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical technique that can be used in place of, or in conjunction with, conventional Western treatments. It has been shown to stimulate energy flow along pathways in the body known as meridians through the insertion of thin metal needles in one or more of 360 acupoints.

Acupuncture increases the body’s production of endorphins and blocks the perception of pain. It is non-invasive with limited side effects and can serve as an effective alternative to medications for a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. Acupuncture also can be helpful in managing chronic headaches, insomnia or stress-related anxiety.
