Oct. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- LOCAL AUTHOR HAS TWO UNIQUE BOOKS PUBLISHED

Local author Eugene F. Elander and Solstice Publishing have announced the publication of two unique books authored by Dr. Elander and published by Solstice Publishing. According to Dr. Elander of Dahlonega, GA, “The Goat of God is theological fiction: the tale of Zael, the Goat of God, the first scapegoat in history, upon whom the sins of the Hebrew people were placed on the very first Day of Atonement. The Goat of God traces Zael’s transition from goat to human in order to bear those sins, becoming a witness to history in the process. More than that, Zael is tasked to edit the Old Testament -- because of the burden of sins, not his own, Zael cannot either age or die until this task is completed. The Testament he authors goes far beyond human history -- it also details the presence and evolving role of the Almighty in that history, ending with a profound meeting between Zael and Yeshua (Jesus) at the Sea of Galilee.”

The second of Dr. Elander’s new books, Empowerment: Taking Charge of Your Life, is a self-help primer for dealing effectively with the many firms, agencies, and governments which often seem to control our behavior, our decisions, and, indeed, our very lives. Dr. Elander commented: “In a frequently-impersonal world stacked against the individual and the family, Empowerment provides chapter-by-chapter, step-by-step techniques for becoming empowered, taking charge, and being in control. Everyone who has ever been frustrated by attempting to deal with an uncaring system needs to read, and study, this unique book. The time it takes will be well-spent, as the satisfaction of becoming empowered is certainly worth the effort.” Both books are available in print editions via CreateSpace.com and in electronic format via Amazon.com.

Eugene Elander won the Young Poets Award at 16 from the Dayton Poets Guild for his poem, The Vision. He was chosen Poet Laureate of Pownal, Vermont and was a member of the Poetry Society of New Hampshire until moving to Dahlonega, Georgia.. His three new verses titled America the Beautiful: September 11, 2001 were widely acclaimed and read into the Congressional Record by U.S. Senator Chris Dodd. He has won numerous other poetry awards and has authored four volumes of poetry: The Right Click, The World Click, Journeyings, and Philosophy over Fika, all written from 2004 to 2014 in the U.S. and Sweden.

Dr. Elander is an economist and college lecturer, and has been an agency executive director, publisher of a weekly newspaper, emergency management consultant, investigator, and former animal control officer, deputy code enforcement and health officer for in New Hampshire. He and his wife Birgit, who co-authored The World Click and Philosophy over Fika, divide their time between Georgia and her homeland, Gotland, Sweden . Dr. Elander writes frequently for OpEdNews.com and other news and opinion services, and is president of his own Elander Press.
