FOLSOM, Calif. - Oct. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Locally owned fitness group, SuperFit Camps announced today that it will donate all proceeds from special November workouts to Project Fit America.  This national organization works at the grassroots level with schools and front line educators and creates new opportunities for kids to be active, fit and healthy.  By donating one hundred percent of the proceeds from specially planned Saturday workouts, which will include a DJ and healthy, post-workout shakes, SuperFit Camps hopes to build local awareness for the need for children to be given daily fitness outlets.

The Saturday workouts are donation based, with a minimum suggested donation of $10. The 90-minute workouts, which begin at 10am Saturday, November 1 and continue every Saturday during the month, will include a combination of boot camp-type activities and other national workout styles and be led by various personal trainers from the area.  Each week’s workout will be different, fun and exciting and is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. Everyone involved with this fundraiser, from the trainers to the DJs to the smoothie companies, are donating their time and products so all proceeds can go directly to Project Fit America.

SuperFit Camps is at the forefront of childhood fitness education with the opening of their SuperKidz workout camp for children last year to sold-out classes.  SuperKidz camp is a premier exercise and nutrition program that gives kids the chance to be fully active and engaged in a program designed specifically for them.  At SuperKidz camp, children work all of their muscle groups, improving coordination, and balance as well as increasing strength.

While SuperKidz Camp has filled a real void in the community by offering local kids a valuable physical education opportunity, owner and head trainer Val Fujii wanted to do even more to raise awareness of childhood obesity.  “I felt strongly that with the positive response of SuperKidz, we could be doing even more to get the word out about the importance of fitness beginning at an early age.  As an action-based charity, Project Fit America is not only raising that awareness but fulfilling the needs of schools on a national level.” By partnering with Project Fit America and spreading their message of “fit kids, one school at a time” SuperFit Camps hopes to raise money and heart rates!  SuperKidz camp is the only program offering the direction and supervision of a nationally recognized fitness trainer coupled with a key nutritional plan that offers healthy meal plans, snack ideas and helps kids make better food choices.
