OCT 26, 2014 – What happens when a stripper hits the big time, gets her dream cottage in the country and all the country neighbors and boredom to accompany it? Pure mischief. That's exactly what happens when the infamous stripper Fifi La Mott hits the big time and moves to Dorking in the new Fiona McAndrew book, Fantasies From The Kitchen Sink, published as an eBook by Spangaloo Books. The novel is a first for the single mother of two who lives in the North of England with her dogs and two hens, who has herself led an unusual life somewhat filled with its own controversial moments. A former model, Ms. McAndrew regularly appeared in the British press and on television. She was also a life model for the world famous artist Lizzie Rowe. After her modeling career ended, Ms. McAndrew dedicated her life to campaigning for women with low self-esteem and body image issues. A sufferer of Graves disease, she is always keen to lend a hand to organizations which help people with auto-immune disorders and thyroid disease. Most recently, Ms. McAndrew was featured in a book by her former doctor called “Dignity in Death”, documenting her worldwide campaign in support of him. With such a vault of life experience to draw from, one has to wonder if parts of 'Fantasies From The Kitchen Sink' resemble any of Ms. McAndrew's own memoirs, albeit in an exaggerated way. The book itself is the journey and transformation of former stripper Fifi La Mott and filled along the way with darkly humorous tales tinged with poignant reality and at times ridiculously laugh out loud funny anecdotes. McAndrew's fills her characters who are in 'solid' relationships with fanciful and lustful desires, longing for Fifi's memoir life juxtaposed against Fifi's own thirst to find love.
