Bruce Rauner & Carly Fiorina Inspire Downers Grove Township Republicans

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. - Oct. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- The Downers Grove Township Republican Organization (DGTRO) presented nationally renowned author, businesswoman and political figure Carly Fiorina as the keynote speaker at its second annual Reagan Day Dinner on Wednesday, October 15 at Ashyana Banquets in Downers Grove.  The dinner was attended by over 750 elected officials, volunteers, activists, and residents and also featured special remarks from U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-IL), U.S. Congressman Peter Roskam (R-IL-06), and Republican Gubernatorial nominee Bruce Rauner.

Fiorina, who is perhaps best known for transforming Hewlett-Packard during her six years as CEO and now serves as Chairman of the American Conservative Union Foundation, spoke regarding the importance of reaching out beyond traditional Republican constituencies with a positive, inspiring vision for the future rooted in conservative principles which can be embraced by all people.  She also emphasized the importance of volunteer activism in advance of the crucial upcoming November election.

“As we enter the final weeks of the campaign season, it was wonderful to see so many Republicans energized to work hard and win in November,” said DGTRO chairman Brian Krajewski.  “Carly’s message fit perfectly with our mission of continuing to build and strengthen our local Republican party.”

The dinner also gave attendees opportunities to interact with elected officials and candidates at the federal, state, county and local levels.  Funds raised will support DGTRO efforts to elect Republican candidates in Downers Grove Township, DuPage County and across Illinois.
