By: Bella Center The Bella Center is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization which offers supportive retreat workshops for women and men. Based in Owatonna, MN and with roots in the Twin Cities, The Bella Center offers holistic therapies during weekend retreat workshops. The program combines art therapy, gentle yoga, meditation, and creative journaling to help survivors of abuse and violence continue on their journey to recovery. The next Bella Retreat will be held at Mt. Olivet in Farmington, Minnesota, about 45 minutes south of the metro. There are limited openings available, so anyone interested should contact The Bella Center ASAP to apply for admission to this retreat. Go to www.BellaCenter.org or call (612) 460-1828. The retreat package includes two-night stay, five meals (Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast), and tuition. This package is very affordably priced at $240 (optional private room is upcharge). Financial assistance is available. About The Bella Center: The Bella Center’s mission is to honor, inspire and empower individuals impacted by violence. We provide holistic creative retreats for survivors of past sexual violence or abuse. Based in Owatonna, MN, we work with a number of retreat centers throughout the upper Midwest. We feel it is imperative to provide service to individuals regardless of ability to pay. Currently, all administration is volunteer, so that 100% of donations can go into the program. The Bella Center is not a religious, medical or mental health treatment facility. People are often impacted long after abuse or trauma has ended, and it is during this time of ongoing need that creative therapy in a nurturing, holistic environment can help individuals attain a higher level of self-compassion and self-empowerment. Bella Center is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization. 100% of donations are invested into our retreats. These costs include supplemental support for participant lodging, meals, and instructors in our retreat programs. All administrative work is provided by volunteers. The Bella Center was founded by Katherine Seger, a professional artist and retired registered nurse. Katherine believes in creating a more peaceful world through compassion, creativity, and self-empowerment. End
