Ethical Fashion Brand, Myrrhia Fine Knitwear, Releases Romantic Spring 2015 Collection

Now accepting orders in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

OAKLAND, Calif. - Oct. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Myrrhia Fine Knitwear (http://myrrhia.com/), an ethical fashion house based in Oakland, California, has announced the release of a gorgeous new Spring 2015 collection made entirely in the USA from sustainable and ethically sourced materials.

Now in their sixth season, MFK for Spring 2015 explores a romantic duality between soft, structured rib knits and silky light, feathery lace. Drawing influences from biomimicry and the 1930’s, the collection embraces a rich botanical palette of deep blue, burgundy, gold, and neutrals.

While creating the collection, founder and designer Myrrhia Resneck (http://myrrhia.com/media-kit-2/), examined how a person's experience of reality can shape their beliefs: “I began thinking about fortune tellers and peacock feathers, and romantic ideas of magic and the occult.”

Made-to-order in Oakland using zero-waste Stoll knitting technology, the collection gives the wearer a sense of the natural world with its integration of soft organic cotton that was grown and sourced locally (http://www.vreseis.com/) from Northern California, and low-impact dyed tencel (http://www.lenzing.com/en/fibers/tencel.html) yarns made from sustainably harvested eucalyptus trees.

In addition to constantly opting for ethical fibers grown and spun in the USA, Myrrhia Fine Knitwear continues to evolve to better suit the active lifestyles of conscious contemporary women-- offering looks that transition well from office to evening and loungewear to street. Because of the high quality and natural origin of the fibers, all of the garments are also wrinkle-resistant and easy to care for, eliminating the need for toxic dry cleaning treatments.

Styles include the Commander Cardi and Skirt duo; a modern take on professional office wear, the Bubble and Pyramid top; bowing an ode to the golden age; the Arcing Lace Maxi; an elegant lace skirt with built-in knit liner, the Arcing Lace Top; a flowy over-blouse, and the classic form-fitted knit Sheath Dress. Other favorites include accessories like the Neckerchief; reminiscent of the chic outlaw, Bonnie Parker; the wear-it-many-ways patterned Bubble Scarf, and the collections’ show piece-- the Feather Dress; an otherworldly floor length lace dress with kimono sleeves.

Accessories, silk bias slips and scarves retail from $48 to $83; Dresses range from $190 to $240; Tunics and tops retail from $140 to $180; Skirts from $122 to $226; Cardis from $246.
