Cool Smart Inc, Presents The Highly Anticipated 4th Annual Tux & Chucks Charitable Fundraising Event

DETROIT - Oct. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Detroit, Michigan - Cool Smart, Inc. presents their highly anticipated 4th Annual Tux & Chucks fundraising charity event.  Elite professionals and socialites unite with the goal of giving back in mind. Not just a traditional bash, four local organizations benefit from a portion of the proceeds. Tux and Chucks is Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 9 p.m. - until 2 a.m. at The Garden Theater located at 3929 Woodward Ave in Detroit. The theater will be transformed into a grandeur space of elegance and sophistication to set the ambiance for this year’s event. While some grow weary with the traditional social scene, this event is a philanthropic journey infused with décor, cuisine, style, and entertainment. With a goal to surpass the $15,000 raised last year, this 21 and up fundraising event is sure to stir up attention within the eyes of many who criticize Detroit for its ongoing negative press.

By giving back to Detroit Jazz Festival (www.detroitjazzfest.com), Detroit Young Professionals (www.detroityoungprofesionals.org), Kids Kicking Cancer (www.kidskickingcancer.org), and The Networkingout Foundation (www.networkingout.com) these Detroit-natives have awakened a vision they hope will expand to all major cities in the U.S. “We would like to see the event grow annually, which would enable us to give more back to local organizations. It would also allow our sponsors to expand their respective businesses,” Suggs says.

An aura of energetic sophistication will fill the atmosphere, guaranteeing smiles, laughter and simply put – a good time! Local spin masters DJ M.I.X. and DJ Kutz will provide music as patrons enjoy hors d’ oeuvres and open bar. “This is our contribution to the city of Detroit. The honoring organizations have great mission statements, and just don’t have the funds. This is our approach at changing that. We put the capital F-U-N in fundraiser,” Appling says.

Tux and Chucks’ 2011 debut brought more than 400 patrons, with 2013’s event locking in over 1000. Attire is cocktail chic, so put to use that tuxedo, suit, cocktail dress and most importantly Chuck Taylor gym shoes planted in your closet, and network with some of Detroit’s most elite professionals.
