Delavan Lakes Veterinary Clinic Expands With New Veterinarian

DELAVAN, Wis. - Oct. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Delavan Lakes Veterinary Clinic (DLVC) recently announced the addition of a new permanent veterinarian, Dr. Kevin Hartwig.

Dr. Hartwig is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine located in Grenada and completed his fourth year at the University of Georgia in 2011. As a native of southeast Wisconsin, Dr. Hartwig attended the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, where he earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Hartwig has been practicing veterinary medicine in Chicago since June 2011. Having previously provided veterinary care on a part-time limited basis at DLVC, Dr. Hartwig has made a permanent transition from Chicago to further enhance the veterinary capabilities at DLVC.

In addition to general comprehensive veterinary care, Dr. Hartwig has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography, and internal medicine. He enjoys treating and caring for an array of exotic pets and wild life species, including birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, reptiles, amphibians, and pocket pets.

“I am very excited to join the veterinary care team at DLVC because of their commitment to the health and happiness of every pet they care for,” said Dr. Hartwig. “I am looking forward to furthering the animal clinic’s dedication to the community in providing high quality, personalized veterinary care.”

Dr. Hartwig is passionate about being at the forefront of veterinary technology and plans to leverage his interest at DLVC to continue to provide advanced diagnostic and surgical care.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hartwig enjoys fishing, rooting for the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his fiancée, Melissa, and their three-legged dog, Ashland.
