LOS ANGELES - Oct. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- A new corporate team building event gives company employees a chance to get creative and artistic, and help feed thousands of California residents at the same time.

Most companies place a high value on community relations, and also have a need to raise morale in the face of current cutbacks.  Unfortunately, they may not have the time or budget for both, according to Warren Press, VP of Sales and Marketing for Feet First Eventertainment (http://f (http://www.feetfirstevents.com/)eetfirstevents.com ).

“The ‘Michael-Can-Gelo’event offers a great solution for both needs,”says Press.  “It’s a win-win-win situation.  Employees have fun together, their company gives back to the community, and thousands of people are fed as a result.”

The event is highly scalable, designed for groups as small as ten or as large as one thousand people.  Employees are put in teams, and each team is given a photograph, which depicts an internationally famous statue, building or landmark. The teams are then each given canned items that they must use to build a scale replica of the landmark.  Teams vote on the which sculpture is the best, and then all the cans are donated to an area food bank.

“With so many people in the country in need of food assistance, the Michael-Can-Gelo team building event has been a huge help for the Food Bank,”says Julie Flynn, Communications Specialist at the L.A. Regional Food Bank. According to Flynn, the cans from a single event “provided enough food for approximately 4,000 meals for families, children, and senior citizens struggling with hunger. It has certainly made an impact on the lives of many in the Los Angeles community.”

Feet First Eventertainment, with offices in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, offers a wide range of non-traditional team building events, including customized game shows, “corporate adventures”, and excursions designed to unleash the creativity of their participants.

“This allows employees to get to get better acquainted with each other, making the work day that much more enjoyable,”says Press.  Feet First’s client list includes many well-known companies including AFLAC, Amgen, Altria, Baxter Bioscience, Broadcom, Davita, Exxon Mobil, Google, Guess, Intuit, KPMG, Mars Foods, Microsoft, Nestle, USC, and Wilson Sporting Goods.  (see amended list on other release)  For further information, please visit feetfirstevents.com (http://www.feetfirstevents.com/).
