Scott Group Draws Inspiration for New Handmade Collection to Debut at NBAA 2014

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Oct. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Scott Group Custom Carpets is drawing inspiration from architecture, men’s fashions and geometric designs for its new Handmade Collection of custom carpets, which will debut at the National Business Aviation Association trade show in Orlando Oct. 21-23.

The Handmade Collection will feature 20 hand-tufted custom designs that combine sophisticated neutral tones with hints of color and accents in the form of metallic silks.  Scott Group designers looked to the runways in Paris, Milan and New York, as well as the leading interior and corporate designers, to influence this fall’s collection.

Media can preview the Handmade Collection at the Scott Group Booth 1043 during the Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition, which is the fourth largest trade show in the county.

Scott Group will showcase its Hybrid Collection of machine-made rugs designed to provide a quick turn-around time.  Simple yet elegant, the Hybrid Collection features hand-over tufted designs using combinations of silk and wool.  The company will also debut Express II, a new line of updated colors specifically targeted for the refurbished market and designers who need an ultra-fast turnaround from order to delivery.

All Scott Group products are made in the United States.

“With 20 new hand-tufted designs, the Handmade Collection offers versatile options with patterns ranging from geometric and architecturally inspired designs to tweeded menswear looks,” said Jessica Courtright, senior marketing designer.  “Part of the collection is conceptual.  As a custom producer, we are able to do virtually anything and can provide our customers with options and ideas.

“If you love what you see, that’s great.  We also have a whole team of designers who can help you make any one of these carpets truly your own by swapping out a color, adding an accent color or changing a texture.”

This fall’s Handmade Collection will feature:

·       Bouvet with silk, a block print-inspired pattern, combining a cut-pile design with a loop field. Wood tones are combined with a blend of soft grey and copper accents.

·       Fenn with silk, a soft plaid, layering warm grays with accents of blue and highlights of silver silk. Inspired by Mid-Century Modern woven textiles.

·       Cambridge with silk is a refined menswear texture in soft merino wool and silk.

All Handmade Collection products feature 100 percent New Zealand wool and are made by Scott Group artisans at its design and production facility in Grand Rapids, Mich.  All Scott Group products are durable and easy to maintain.
