General Counsel for QDiscovery to Discuss ECA and EDA at Women in eDiscovery Presentation, Oct. 20

Oct. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- New London, Conn. – QDiscovery LLC, a premier provider of electronic discovery and forensic technology services, today announced that its General Counsel Helen Geib will present at the monthly meeting of the Connecticut Chapter of Women in e-Discovery on Oct. 20. The luncheon presentation, which will be hosted by Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP, will focus on redefining the concepts of early case assessment (ECA) and early data assessment (EDA).

ECA and EDA often mean many different things to many different people – creating muddy definitions for the terms as well as devalued concepts. However, when defined and used properly, ECA and EDA can address the growing need of attorneys to gain greater insight into large sets of data while also controlling costs.

Geib’s presentation will cover:

·         Competing definitions of ECA and EDA and how the two relate to each other

·         How both concepts are valuable to illuminate a case early on and develop strategic decisions which hit on budgeting and other cost issues

·         Practical perspectives of using these ideas the way they were originally conceived
