Drexel University Students Get a First-Hand Experience at K4-MA's 15th Angel Capital Expo

PHILADELPHIA - Oct. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Career Day is getting a facelift for Drexel University students: Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic is hosting its second East Coast AngelCapital Expo^sm on the Drexel campus on October 23. Keiretsu Forum is a global angel investor network with 34 chapters on three continents. The Angel Capital Expo is Keiretsu Forum’s signature event bringing together investors and entrepreneurs looking for funding.

“By giving students a first-hand view of interactions between entrepreneurs and prospective investors, the Angel Capital Expo immerses future attorneys, engineers and business leaders in the environment that nurtures many ventures,” said Roger Dennis, dean and professor at Drexel’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law. “I can’t think of a way to give budding professionals more meaningful insights about the process of launching new businesses.”

The AngelCapital Expo^sm will take place on October 23 from 7:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Drexel University's Bossone Research Enterprise Center, Market Street between 31st and 32nd Streets, Philadelphia, PA. This year’s Expo will be bundled with a series of outstanding entrepreneur and angel investor training sessions. “Drexel teaches our students that it is their responsibility to make things happen,” said Frank Linnehan, dean of the University’s LeBow College of Business. “The Angel Capital Expo brings to campus the business leaders, entrepreneurs, legal experts and others who do just that. It’s inspiring to our students to see first-hand a collection of smart, high-energy people who are successful not because they get it right every time, but because they give it their all every time.”

The companies presenting at this year’s Expo will include 12 early-stage companies from a variety of hot sectors including internet-SaaS-cloud technology, healthcare-life sciences-medical devices, consumer products, cleantech/energy solutions, software-security-telecommunications technologies, and real estate.

Attendees of the Expo will include approximately 100 accredited angel investors from K4, area angel groups, independent angel investors, VCs, and family wealth management professionals.
