PRLog -- Nashville – “All rides come to an end” said Johnny Dellarocca when asked about his departure from ComicsPriceGuide.com’
s Tales From The Geek weekly web show. For 117 weeks Johnny has served as the host and ersatz director for the weekly show, but now has decided to leave the show he helped create.
“It was just time for a change” said Dellarocca. “My career is going in some exciting new directions with a recent book deal and a reality TV show in development. I just need to focus on new endeavors.”
Dellarocca is best known for his work onstage as a new vintage variety artist, fusing music and magic with comedy and dance in a 1920s – 1940s style in what is described as “Dieselpunk.”
He can be seen performing in theaters, at festivals and cons around the country. He is also the author of 4 books on magic and the producer and host of the Diesel Powered Podcast, THE Dieselpunk podcast on iTunes, which consistently is ranked in the top 10 performing arts podcasts.
Johnny Dellarocca is not leaving the comics and pop culture world, however. “Comics and sci-fi are a big part of who I am and will always be” Johnny added. “I’ll still be performing and hosting panels at comic cons and will still be producing the Dieselpunk Comics micro-casts for The Diesel Powered Podcast.” He added, “I will also be available for freelance writing, and appearances on other shows and podcasts.”
Johnny Dellarocca’s final appearance on Tales From The Geek is the 117
