NABCA Announces Leadership Positions for Industry Advisory Committee

Oct. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Marc Satterthwaite, vice president, director, sales operations North America for Brown Forman is the new chairman of NABCA’s Industry Advisory Committee (IAC), after serving as vice chair for three years. Rick Przebieda national sales manager, control states and Canada, Luxco, was elected vice chair. The NABCA Board of Directors elected these IAC leadership positions at its recent meeting in Oregon.

Marc, celebrating his 26th year of employment with Brown-Forman, has been a vice president with the company since 2000. Prior to his current role, he held several leadership positions that spanned sales, marketing, and operations within the company. He is active within a number of charitable organizations and was recently elected to serve on the board of directors of Porter Bancorp, Inc. and PBI Bank, based in Louisville, Kentucky. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Economics from Western Kentucky University, and an MBA from the University of New Orleans. He continues to reside in Louisville, with his wife, Vicki.

Rick is responsible for managing the Luxco portfolio of brands in the 18 control jurisdictions and Canada. A beverage alcohol veteran, he has spent the last 20 plus years working directly with the Control States and the NABCA. Prior to joining Luxco, Rick spent 12 years as EVP-Control States for Barton Brands. He holds a degree in business administration from Regis University in Denver. He resides in the Columbus, Ohio, area with his wife Kelli and their two sons.

John Byrne, director of control states for Remy Cointreau USA is immediate past chair of the IAC. “We thank John for his service over the last six years to this committee as chair and vice chair,” said Jim Sgueo, NABCA CEO. “His contribution to this and other planning committees have been valuable and appreciated. We also congratulate Marc and Rick, and look forward to a productive three years.”

The Industry Advisory Committee consists of interested NABCA supplier members appointed by NABCA’s Board of Directors for a three year term. These appointees serve as an advisory body to the board on operational, policy, education, regulatory and other issues common to control systems and the industry. The committee also provides the board with information on current and future industry operations and trends.
