LONDON - Oct. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Robert Segal may well have got a team together of premier league footballers, such as Raheem Sterling -  Alex Oxlade Chamberlain – Stephen Carr – David Bentley – Paul Robinson and Michael Brown as apparent shareholders in the restaurant and club chain, La Sala, but it appears this dream team are having real antics off the pitch.

Robert Segal, labelled as super soccer agent from agency Impact, and one of the directors in La Sala group is now involved in some tough tackles with local residents in both the UK and Marbella that may well see the premier league footballer shareholders having to step in to try and resolve these issues peacefully.

In September this year, Robert Segal along with LA Sala’s chairman, Ian Radford (married to Big Brother star Claire Strutton)  appeared in a Marbella court accused of threats to a representative from a local residents pressure group for taking photos of a gate the representative claims was illegally erected by La Sala.

The representative, David Lott, alleges he was manhandled and threatened, along with threats made against his family and others in the residents group.

Mr Lott started a website over 2 years ago that he claims was built as a voice for the unhappy residents in Villa Marina, an exclusive and quiet neighbourhood in Puerto Banus, Marbella.   He claims residents were having their peaceful neighbourhood ruined by constant parties and yobbish behaviour from the clientele of La Sala by the Sea.

The website:  www.villamarina-actiongroup.com  goes on to claim that there are a number of illegal activities by La Sala, allegations such as such as broken health and safety regulations that endanger lives are listed on the site.  The websites  also states that La Sala by the Sea has had a closure notice on a dangerous swimming pool given by the authorities on August 22nd yet has remained open regardless.

However regardless of the closure notice by the local town hall as well as a demolition order against La Sala’s raised sunbed over a dining area for the public, it remained opened throughout August and September,  and the action group became increasing frustrated at what it claims is a blatant flouting of the law by La Sala.

This recently resulted in dramatic scenes this weekend on October 4th in Puerto Banus outside La Sala by the Sea as protestors waved placards about the dangers of La Sala’s swimming pool.  Also a local lawyer held up a copy of an official closure notice of La Sala’s swimming pool from by The Town Hall against La Sala by the Sea, as guest lazed in the alleged illegal pool and looked on bemused.

Javier Guerrero Ankermit, a respected and senior lawyer in Marbella then proceeded to try and hand over the copy of the closure notice to former big brother star, Claire Strutton, wife of La Salas’ chairman Ian Radford, who refused to comment

The representative of Villa Marina Action Group claims rumours are rife about how La Sala by the Sea can to continue to operate regardless of being given fines amassing to approximately 200,000 Euros. The websites also shows copies of closure and demolition orders along with copies of legal denounces to substantiate their allegations.

After contacting David Lott he stated;    ‘’The fact that a senior lawyer holding up closure notices only endorses what we have been saying all along.’’

Meanwhile in the UK, La Sala’s premier league football shareholders seem to be remaining quiet and on the bench as the action reaches fever pitch.  However, the local residents group feel that as shareholders and as apparent role models the premier league footballers should step in and try to help find a peaceful solution for the residents they claim to serve.

In October La Sala launches in Chigwell, Essex, backed by a host of big names from the world of football including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Stephen Carr, who have lost their late night opening licence. However the group with its footballer shareholders appear to be appealing in order to party on later.

One local TV Crew captured footage and interviews of recent developments and protests, The News Studio – a new online channel run by the community for the community that were commissioned with their first project to film the unravelling story.
