LL Dent Offers October Dinner Special to Benefit Breast Cancer Awareness Program

Oct. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Carle Place, NY — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and LL Dent Restaurant is doing its part to raise awareness about this disease. This month, LL Dent will serve a three-course meal, with half of the sales proceeds benefitting the Adelphi New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program. The cost of the meal is $35.

Menu items will include Autumn Sweet Potato Soup, Grilled Salmon with Tamarind Glaze, Four-Grain Rice and Turmeric, Black-Eyed Peas, Meatless Collard Greens with a Pinch of Chow Chow, followed by Soursop Ice Cream and Fresh Fruit for dessert.

Aside from being delicious, this special meal offers plenty of health benefits. Sweet potatoes are known for being rich in antioxidants, which can help reduce the effects of inflammation. Black-eyed peas can help lower cholesterol and aid in weight loss. Soursop fruit can help subdue nausea and relieve liver ailments.
