Stone Crab Claw Season 2014 Kicking Off Soon With Pinchers

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Oct. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Stone crab claw season is just around the corner, opening Oct. 15, and Pinchers, the locally owned and operated collection of ten seafood restaurants, is ready with plans to have stone crab claws in all their locations on opening day.

As the largest retail stone crab purveyor on the West Coast of Florida and the second largest in the country, they own Island Crab Company (, a seafood wholesaler and distribution facility in Pine Island, Florida.

Knowing that stone crab claws are the only renewable resource in the water, Island Crab Company expertly crabs local waters for Pinchers providing their customers the freshest product as they control the seafood from the water to the table. Guests can purchase claws to eat at any of their ten locations, or purchase some to take home from one of their in-store seafood markets.

A tradition, Pinchers will also participate in the 5th Annual Stone Crab Festival starting on Oct. 24 (starting at 4:00 p.m.) and running through Oct. 26 with activities in and around Bayfront, Naples Bay Resort, Port O'Call, and Tin City. The event is free and will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26.

Pinchers will also be hosting their first annual Stone Crab Fest at The Marina at Edison Ford Nov. 7 – 9 in Fort Myers. With stone crab claws straight from the water and live music all day, the festivities will go all weekend long. They will also host a race breakfast for the Fort Myers Marathon taking place on Sunday, Nov. 9. Daily activities and live entertainment will take place all weekend.
