Nicaragua will participate in LAC Flavors 2014
Nicaragua will participate in the upcoming LAC Flavors, to be held on October 8-10 in Merida, Mexico, with a delegation of 10 companies lead by PRONicaragua.
The country’s delegation of 10 companies includes CAC-Trading, UCOSEMUN, Tropisol, Tropicana Fruit Farms, Carphil, Cosecha Partners, Delicias del Norte, Fruvex, Lowlands, and PROCAFE. At the country’s booth (#16), these companies will be exhibiting their export offer, which includes chia, sesame, peanut, cocoa, beans, coffee, organic coffee, cattle, pitaya, plantain, cookies, rosquillas, ginger and a variety of chili, among other products.
Additionally, at Nicaragua’s booth, visitors will be able to obtain more information on the country’s export offer and the free trade agreements in force, as well as receive assistance in identifying potential local suppliers and the procedures on how to source from the country.
The delegation has high expectations of this year’s LAC Flavors edition, for they will have the opportunity not only to showcase some of Nicaragua’s most premium products, but also to establish key business contacts through the matchmaking sessions.
In 2013, PRONicaragua organized that year’s edition LAC Flavors in the city of Granada, Nicaragua. During the event, approximately 1,650 meetings were held between 52 international buyers and 180 suppliers of small and medium business producers of fresh and processed foods from Nicaragua and other countries of the region.
LAC Flavors is an annual roundtable event held since 2009 that seeks to strengthen trade opportunities for SMEs in the food sector in the region. The 6th edition will bring together food exporters from countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as international buyers from other regions of the world to explore business opportunities in one-on-one matchmaking meetings.
