Musical Director, Dr. Timothy McKee has lined up a dynamic 2014/15 Community Concert Season to include baroque, classical, as well as contemporary music.  Concerts are both instrumental and vocal.  The performances are all made possible by music series sponsors, so they are all free and open to the public.

The season kicks off on Friday, October 24th at 5pm at the Church on 3 West Ridge Road with an exciting program created by Charlotte Mabrey, Jacksonville Symphony's (JSO) principal percussionist.   The concert is suitable for all age listeners.  Ms. Mabrey has the distinction of being named the first female principal percussionist for a symphonic orchestra in the United States.

Ms. Mabrey will be accompanied by another talented percussionist, Greg Hersey.  Together Mabrey and Hersey, will perform an exciting, interactive program.  Ms. Mabrey's program begins with gentle beat of marimbas, escalates the tempo to hard rhythmic conga beats and concludes with an unleashed drum jam.   Concert attendees will be treated to complimentary Leopolds' ice cream at a reception following the concert.
