KQCK's popular Rock and Roll 101 features bubblegum favorites; tributes to Revere, Crewe
Online classic rock radio show features songs that introduced a generation of junior high-age music fans to rock through a combinatioin of well-crafted recordings, television and imaging.

This week (October 12), it's the Rock and Roll 101 Bubblegum special! Junior High rock at its finest, including the works of The Archies, The Ohio Express, The 1910 Fruitgum Co., The Lemon Pipers, Josie & The Pussycats, The Monkees, The Raiders, The Osmonds, The Jackson 5, Bobby Sherman, The Partridge Family, and … Wilson Pickett! All that, and Major Hoople’s Boarding House, and much more!
There are two Covers of the Week – “Sugar, Sugar” and “Got My Mind Set On You.” The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame MIA segment features the late Paul Revere, and we’ll have a belated tribute to the late producer/writer Bob Crewe, with a wide selection of hits he was involved with – either as a songwriter, producer, label owner – or all of the above.
Looking ahead, the October 26 show features Halloween rock, a six-pack of hits from The Turtles, and a perusal of WCFL Chicago’s Sound 10 Survey for the week of October 28, 1967.
