Kid’s Imagination Train Invites Adult, Children’s Writers to Enter Spring Contest

The children’s magazine announces a writing contest for adult writers. Writers who submit a children’s poem or story qualify for a chance to have their story published and win a monetary award.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Oct. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The online children’s magazine, Kid’s Imagination Train, seeks writers to participate in its spring themed writing contest. All poems and stories must be entered by March 1, 2015. The winning poem or story will be published in the KIT May issue and the author will receive a prize of $100.

The idea for spring contest came from children’s writers. According to KIT Editor Randi Lynn Mrvos, “We decided to sponsor a writing contest for adults because a number of writers had expressed interest in one.” Mrvos adds, “The exciting thing about the contest is writers can either submit a poem or a story.  We are looking for entries that are especially creative and that have kid-appeal.”

The KIT editorial staff will review the submissions. The word count requirement for poems is 200 to 300 and up to 500 words for stories. More information about the contest guidelines (http://www.kidsimaginationtrain.com/p/editing-services.html#50302500081005211) can be found at the KIT website.
