By: Go Eat Give The evening will feature authentic dinner, speakers and live entertainment. Dr. Sutham Cobkit, director of the Master of Science Program in Criminal Justice at Kennesaw State University will be the keynote speaker at Destination Thailand. Dr. Cobkit, a native of Bangkok, will speak on “BKK Is Far Beyond the Capital of Thailand," sharing with the audience why Thai people, no matter where they live, love and are proud of their motherland. The evening will include Thepbantheong (Angels Delight) a live traditional dance performance by local artists, Auraree Montroy and Vivian Sihachack. Go Eat Give allows audiences to interact with foreign leaders in the local community. Mrs. Sunisa Suwannatut, president of the Thai Association of Georgia says, “ I look forward to Destination Thailand to enjoy myself and have a good time sharing Thai culture with other Thais and Americans.” Destination Thailand will be held at Zen on Ten, Midtown’s popular Thai restaurant. Veerasak Phingbodhipakkiya (aka Tom Phing) opened one of the first Thai restaurants in Atlanta over 32 years ago, and is known as the pioneer of Thai cuisine in the city. He will be preparing a delicious buffet dinner featuring his favorite panang curry, massaman curry and Pad Thai recipes, among other dishes.
