Principal Marketing Gives Speeches at National Conference

GLEN ELLYN, Ill. - Oct. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Principal Marketing is excited to join an upcoming National Leadership Conference with their top performers. This elite event provides high achievers from all over the country a chance to absorb knowledge from established industry leaders. This particular conference will be especially exciting for the Principal Marketing team, however, because one of their own has been invited as a guest speaker.

Jillian, the firm’s human resources director, will be sharing her knowledge at the coming National Leaders Event. “I have attended a few of these conferences, and I learn something new every time,” Jillian stated. “I always leave with information that I can put to use right away, not only professionally but personally as well.” Jillian was chosen to speak because of obstacles she has overcome and skills that she has mastered. “This is truly an honor. Jillian has been invited to share her knowledge of time management skills, and also enlighten other leaders on the best retention tips and tricks she has discovered. Explained Jillian: “I think both these topics are incredibly important for the business . Time management, for example, is crucial for any business professional. Knowing how to effectively prioritize tasks and budget time are not skills many people naturally develop. Then retention, of course, is one of the vital ingredients to any organization’s success. The onboarding process and proper training can be costly and time-consuming, not to mention how valuable it is to have experienced professionals on the team.”

Principal Marketing on How to Give a Great Speech

With the responsibility of giving this speech in front of nationally recognized advertising leaders, Jillian has to be prepared. The secret to giving a good speech is not just practice, she says, but practicing the right way. ”Often when people prepare for public speaking, they write down their speech and read it over and over again until they memorize it. However, I find that it’s better to practice my speeches the way I will give them: standing up, moving around, and with feeling.” Then, she gives herself plenty of time to rehearse so that when the time comes, her speech can be delivered as naturally as if she was having a conversation over coffee with friends.
