Smithers Rapra Announces “Testing Considerations for Optimal Hose Performance” Webinar

“During the webinar, Andrasik will review hose development from conception to implementation, including ideal scenarios for testing,” said Todd Hain, marketing manager at Smithers Rapra. “The goal is to help our customers and webinar attendees reduce the time to market by considering all relevant factors before product testing, including test setup considerations, common failure modes and their causes, and understanding the correlation between testing options and expected field performance.”

Andrasik will cover the following topics related to rubber and polymer hoses:

·       Common test methods by industry, specifically OEM specifications for automotive, SAE industrial specifications and aerospace considerations

·       Test setup considerations and conditions in real-world examples

·       Increasing efficiency in product development and validation procedures by adding external testing to the mix, including competitive benchmarking and repetitive iterations

Andrasik has developed and executed a wide variety of test programs including pressure, vibration, and temperature specifications on automotive, industrial, aerospace, nuclear, and consumer products. He has more than 10 years of experience testing rubber and plastic components, parts and products against common industry and governmental standards including ASTM, ISO, SAE, Fed, MIL, FDA and automotive OEM specifications.
