Cimino Gallery and Custom Picture Framing a Stop on 'Universal Music Day' Second Saturday ArtWalk

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Oct. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Cimino Gallery and Custom Picture Framing is showcasing art, music, and craft beer for this month's St. Petersburg Second Saturday ArtWalk. The theme of this month's ArtWalk is "Universal Music Day". The ArtWalk coincides with Grand Central District Association's Oktoberfest. From 5 until 9 p.m. visitors to Cimino Gallery and other participating ArtWalk venues will be able to view and purchase art, get refreshments, listen to music, and take in live demonstrations. Oktoberfest runs from 6 until 9 p.m. at the 2000 block of Central Avenue in downtown St. Pete.

At Cimino Gallery and Custom Picture Framing, owner Justen Cimino is featuring live music by Patrick and Dennis Bixler, and craft beer by Cycle Brewing of St. Petersburg.  "This is just a fun way to visit and get to know everybody. I'm a musician, and I love it that the theme this month is music. It just makes it that much more of great event."

Featured at Cimino Gallery will be works by photographer Phil Celli, artist Marc Mullin, and jewelry makers Becky Jamin and Liz Gemelas.

The Second Saturday ArtWalk encompasses a large swath of downtown St. Pete and other districts, including the Waterfront Arts District, Central Arts District, The EDGE District of St. Petersburg, Grand Central District Association, and the Warehouse Arts District. Cimino Gallery was the first venue in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Business District to participate in the event back in May of this year.

ArtWalkers can walk, drive, or ride the free trolley that loops through the Warehouse Arts District from Third Street and Central Avenue. An art guide will be on board. Among other places, free parking is available at First Avenue North and First Avenue South from 15th Street to 30th Street.

Art Association St. Petersburg, Warehouse Arts District Association, St. Petersburg Art Alliance, and the Grand Central District are the organizers of the monthly St. Petersburg Second Saturday Artwalks.
