Josh Pruschen Qualifies for the Graduate Diamond Degree

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Sept. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- SPRINGFIELD – Maxon’s Diamond Merchants Timepiece Manager, Josh Pruschen, has qualified for the Graduate Diamond Degree program after completing the course study and laboratory practicum with the Gemological Institute of America.

The Gemological Institute of America, or GIA, was established in 1931, and is the world’s foremost authority on diamonds, colored stones, and pearls. A public benefit, nonprofit institute, GIA is the leading source of knowledge, standards, and education in gems and jewelry.

The GIA’s Graduate Diamond Degree program was an extensive overview of diamond analysis, class identification, cutting, and so forth.

“We’re very proud of Josh for having successfully completed this prestigious program,” said Rick McElvaine, owner of Maxon’s Diamond Merchants. “Josh has become a vital member of the Maxon’s family in the year he’s been with us, and continues to demonstrate an aptitude for growth that makes him invaluable to our customers.”

Pruschen currently focuses on merchandising and is apprenticing in the field of appraisal. He looks forward to applying his new skills in the field of identifying and analyzing diamonds to better serve Maxon’s customers.

Founded in 1972, Maxon’s Diamond Merchants is located in the Brentwood Shopping Center, across from the Battlefield Mall at 2622 South Glenstone. Maxon’s Diamond Merchants is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
