Woody’s BBQ Hosting Pink Army Flag Raising Oct. 1st
“We reached out to John Subers, the Director of the Florida Hospital Foundation, and let him know that we have a flag pole in front of Woody’s and told him that we would like to do a ceremony here to show our support,” said Joe Rizzo, co-owner of Woody’s BBQ. “We will have pink t-shirts that say ‘Best Racks in Town’ to support the cause as well,” he added.
October is breast cancer awareness month and is supported internationally by businesses, sports leagues and many people that have been touched by the disease wearing and using the color pink all month long qegkj to support the fight. Breast Cancer is the second most common cancer found in women and the Pink Army is holding flag raising events, and a 5K Oct 12th to raise awareness and funds for research.
The flag raising ceremony will take place at 5:30 pm on October 1, 2014 in front of Woody’s BBQ, facing SR 100, just east of I-95.
