“We are anticipating hundreds of people at “Fast & Furriest 2014” so this will be one of the largest run and walks we have ever put on,” said Dr. Gary Shelton, FHS board president. “We already have over 160 people registered so far and will be allowing people to sign up at the event.” The four mile timed run begins at 8 a.m. and will be two laps around the Princess Place loop. The two mile non-timed walk begins at 10:30 a.m. and leashed dogs are welcome. A free fall festival follows until 2 p.m. There will be live music and entertainment, food, dog games, raffles, a dunk tank and a blessings of the animals during the festival. “This year’s walk is going to be one of the biggest and best ones ever and we can’t wait to see everyone there,” said Amy Carotenuto, executive director. “Everyone is welcome to bring their dog on the walk and stay a while to enjoy the festivities.” To take part in the walk or run, register online at https://runsignup.com/ The Flagler Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, established in 1980.
