Getting Fat With Gluten-Free Food

 
LEHI, Utah - Sept. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Fit2Fat2Fit, was a year long journey that I embarked on purposely, gaining and losing 75 lbs.  It landed me on many TV shows such as Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, The View, CNN and many more.  Fit2Fat2Fit became a NY Times Best Selling Book in June of 2012.  Many people thought the journey was controversial, but my purpose was to gain a better perspective and to inspire people all around the world to become healthier. It was a humbling experience with many lessons learned not just physically, but more so emotionally and mentally. My main hope as a fitness professional is to continue to help people live healthier lives and that is why I have embarked on a NEW JOURNEY! It’s a mini journey that is 4 months long, with the main purpose being to educate people on one of the trendiest new diets that is storming the nation with 1 in 3 people now eating this way and sales for these products expected to exceed $15 billion! I'll be tackling the Gluten-Free hype with my Gluten-Free Fat2Fit journey in hopes to educate people, save them some money, help them avoid unnecessary costs and at the end of the day lead healthier lives.

Jimmy Kimmel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdJFE1sp4Fw) recently went around asking people on the streets if they were Gluten-Free.  Then he’d ask them what Gluten was and no one had a clue what it was or why they were avoiding it.  Studies show over 35% of people think if a product says "Gluten-Free" on it, that it's automatically healthy (similar to how it was back in the 80's with "Cholesterol-Free" and "Fat-Free").



So for 2 months, I've decided to gain weight by only eating Gluten-Free labeled products, to show people that just because something says "Gluten-Free" doesn't necessarily mean that it's healthy.  Then the next 2 months will be spent educating people on how to eat Gluten-Free the healthy way and bring awareness that being healthy is about a lifestyle change and not a fad diet.  My hope, at the end of the day, is to make people more aware of the types of foods that they’re putting in their bodies and to help them embrace a true lifestyle change.
