3 Day Startup NYC and Marymount Manhattan College Partner
The Business Division of Marymount Manhattan College will host 3 Day Startup’s New York City program to help advance entrepreneurial skill building for students
By: 3 Day Startup
“Marymount Manhattan College is shaping up to be an outstanding partner in the entrepreneurial skill building space and we are glad to add them as one of our fall programs this year” said Desiree Frieson, lead organizer of 3DS NYC. “If we can teach budding entrepreneurs how to code, why can’t we teach them the ABC’s of startup culture, conducting market viability testing, wireframing and prototyping, and how to make decisions in a collaborative setting. These skills are teachable and will serve students greatly in the future.”
3 Day Startup has been teaching entrepreneurial skill building since 2009. It expanded internationally in 2011 and has been building on the program’s success in targeted verticals such as the performing arts and within cemented corporate cultures. The Marymount Manhattan College and 3 Day Startup NYC partnership is open to all students across all majors within the college.
“I am thrilled that Marymount Manhattan students will benefit from experienced entrepreneurs,”
The 3DS NYC and Marymount Manhattan College partnership will teach 40 students how to create ideas they are passionate about, research market challenges and opportunities, build a pitch presentation, and demonstrate their business model to experienced venture capitalists and angel investors.
If media personnel would like to register for the final pitch night on Sunday, November 9, please email Desiree Frieson at email@example.com and John Mackin at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, visit nyc.3daystartup.org. (http://nyc.3daystartup.org/
The mission of 3 Day Startup is to build entrepreneurial capabilities and cultures on university campuses. We do this by helping teams at universities around the globe organize 3DS events that help turn students into entrepreneurs, and connect those students with a powerful network of mentors, investors and advisors.
