Executive Chef Tiffany Tooker Offers Four-Course Oktoberfest Beer Pairing at Harvest Restaurant

ST. CHARLES, Ill. - Sept. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Harvest restaurant at the Pheasant Run Resort & Spa offers Executive Chef Tiffany Tooker’s gourmet cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu includes only the finest grade of aged beef, exceptional seafood, extraordinary game selections and seasonal dishes inspired by fresh ingredients available in local markets for extraordinary dining. An extensive bar selection has been complemented by Pheasant Run’s own Pheasant Run Ringneck Red Lager brewed especially for them by Leinenkugel.  For Oktoberfest, Chef Tooker has created a four-course menu paired with beers, including the resort’s own brew which is served Thursdays only during dinner hours for $35 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

The menu includes the following pairings:  first course, Diver Sea Scallop with Bacon Wrapped Diver Scallop with an Apricot Glaze paired with Stella Artois Lager; second course, Pheasant Run Wedge Salad featuring Iceberg Lettuce with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Heirloom Tomatoes Marinated with Herb Vinaigrette and Buttermilk Blue Cheese Dressing paired with ChiTown Pier Pale Ale; third course, Wild Mushroom Crusted Filet Mignon, Grilled Black Angus Tenderloin of Beef with Spinach Risotto, Oven Roasted Asparagus and Fresh Herb Demi Glaze paired with Pheasant Run Ringneck Red Lager; and fourth course, Kilauea Chocolate Molten Lava Cake with Fresh House Made Dark Chocolate Cake Filled with Warm, Decadent Chocolate Magma Topped with Crème Anglaise paired with Guinness Stout.

Those seeking a pint of the new Pheasant Run Ringneck Red Lager can enjoy the rich, deep amber lager which offers soft hop and fruit flavors followed by a lingering clean finish for $5.50.
