"Each of us embodies beauty in uniquely inspired ways," Brooks-Tatum said. "At times, we must look to each other to discover, recover and reclaim the beauty we inherently possess. With this year’s theme, we invite truth-tellers and truth-seekers to examine and dismantle the blocks that keep usfrom healing and enjoying the beauty of our lives."

Transformational workshops, performances, engaging speakers, and storytelling are included on the conference schedule.According toDr.Nicole Collier, program chair, storytelling is particularly significant as it allows people to become great students of life.

"It's a way to reflect on our pasts, and envision and author new futures. It's a path to understanding and healing," saidCollier. "We are all beautiful! But sometimes, we need a moment to reflect, remember, and retell the stories of our beauty. That's what this conference is all about –reclaiming and cultivating our beauty."
