The Royce Twins release first original to Australia Radio: Heartstrings

MELBOURNE, Australia - Sept. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Gabriel and Michael Saalfield - The Royce Twins today release their first original song to radio called ‘Heartstrings’.

The Debut EP features five tracks. Four of the recordings are original compositions by The Royce Twins with the additional track being delivered by fan request, a cover of ‘I won’t give up’ by Jason Mraz and Michael Natter.

Like all the tracks on their self-titled debut release, ‘Heartstrings’ features what are now recognised as The Royce Twins trademark harmonies by their followers. The Royce Twins Debut EP delivers five slices of their unique sound, showcasing four brand new songs written and performed by the Twins that are sure to inspire and delight. The Twins released their heartfelt version of ‘I won’t give up’ earlier this year that caught them some attention within the AIR independent music charts.

“This has been a breakthrough year for us and it’s been great we’ve been able to get out and about to meet and celebrate the launch with the fans,” said Gabriel. “The first original release off a Debut EP is an important milestone for any band and we’re happy we can celebrate with the people who have made it all happen for us,” said Michael.

Gabriel admits that he started writing ‘Heartstrings’ as a make-up song after getting in trouble from his girlfriend and at the time never dreamed the song would ever be recorded and released to radio. After working with Michael to work on the guitar parts, harmonies and lyrics, the good news is that all was forgiven.

The Royce Twins Debut EP was successfully crowd funded with Australian Crowd funding website Pozible which shows the changing way music is getting made in Australia. The EP is produced by noted Australian Producer, Mr Adrian Hannan who has previously worked with the likes of Taxiride, Delta Goodrem and Gabriella Cilmi. Adrian took on the project after hearing the originals – including ‘Heartstrings’.

The Royce Twins, Gabriel and Michael Saalfield, emerged from Mount Beauty and have been playing and singing music for as long as they can remember. Gabriel plays the acoustic guitar, drums and saxophone. Michael plays the acoustic and electric guitar. Both sing.

Australia and indeed the world hasn’t heard music like the Twins can provide, finely crafted gems combining influences of hot adult contemporary, pop and just a touch of country.

The Royce Twins sing about the universal themes of love and courage. Lyrically interesting and meaningful, all tracks are easy to listen to and will have listeners singing along in no time.

The Royce Twins from Victoria’s high country are still country boys at heart. Humble with great harmonies.
