Pedego Greater Long Beach co-owner Beth Black was busy running her popular electric bicycle shop, but the subject line challenged her to take a second look with, “Tell us your story!”  Good thing, because the email from Time Warner Cable Business Class led to a competition she would eventually ace. Pedego GLB co-owner and co-star Brian Ballard quickly realized the importance of his partner’s success. “We’ve always seen the past and current ads on television everywhere we went, including restaurant TVs,” he said. “I’m so proud of Beth for achieving this. They had tens of thousands of businesses in the running and chose four to be shown in the Fall campaign. Our shop is one of the four.” The campaign is set to run through the holiday season, perfect timing for a store that offers a specialty gift item — electric bicycles. Creative teams led by Time Warner Cable Business Class arrived for two days of filming, and Black and Ballard enjoyed the excitement of their Hollywood moment. “It was an extraordinary experience,” said Black. “At one point, we rode back and forth along the San Gabriel River, following the camera bike – three men and a large camera sharing a Pedego Cargo Bike. They were able to shoot us riding the electric tandem for the final shot in the commercial – something that sets us apart.”
