IT-oLogy Presents Blue Diamond Award Categories

Nominations Are Now Open for Charlotte IT Awards in Eight Categories

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Sept. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Nominations are now open for the Blue Diamond Awards 2015 to be held March 3, 2015. The Blue Diamond Awards bring together regional businesses, educational institutions, entrepreneurs, and organizations to acknowledge and award technology achievements in the Greater Charlotte Metropolitan Area.

The categories span the breadth of Information Technology contributions in business, education, entrepreneurs and the community:

Human Capital will recognize the individual or group that has made major contributions in the development or recruitment of IT talent to the Charlotte area.

Student Innovator will honor the individual student that has created new and innovative technology or has demonstrated the innovative use of existing technology.

IT Entrepreneur will recognize the individual who has turned a creative vision into a profitable and enduring business through the direct application of information technology.

Community Outreach will spotlight the individual IT practitioner, student(s), or organization that has demonstrated value through a volunteer non-fee based community support outreach program.

Cool Innovator will recognize the individual or company that demonstrates the best example of creativity, execution, and applied invention, which addresses a new approach to an old problem that may make lasting and far-reaching change in the way we work with each other.

Business Value – Small/Medium will highlight the company that achieves the greatest business value via the deployment and use of nominated IT solutions.

Business Value – Corporate will award the company that achieves the greatest business value via the deployment and use of nominated IT solutions.

Business Value – Non-Profit will highlight the non-profit that achieves the greatest business value via the deployment and use of nominated IT solutions.

Judging is scheduled for November, and finalists will be announced in January 2015, prior to the March 3rd award ceremony.
